Intro

Rizzle began when visionary founders with a small group of developers approached us with a clear mission: to create the ultimate discussion platform for the Instagram generation. Initially, the app targeted a specific audience, with its concept and core features meticulously structured and defined.

Since our partnership began in late 2018, Rizzle has undergone significant transformations to become what it is today. One of the notable iterations was a social network for creators available on both iOS and Android.

At its peak as a social network, Rizzle boasted over 34 million monthly active users. Today, leveraging cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI), Rizzle has evolved into a revolutionary "no-edit" video creation platform dedicated to democratizing video content creation.

Challenge & main solution

From the start of our collaboration, our goal was to create a seamless and engaging user experience. Initially manageable, challenges grew more complex during ideation and prototyping sessions. Designing innovative features for a socially active, tech-savvy audience was an ongoing task.

Through iterative improvements and rigorous testing, we navigated these challenges effectively. Testing creative ideas with real users helped us make informed decisions, leading to a successful social app. Key challenges included complex prototyping, numerous animations, enhancing video creation features, rethinking video editing, and increasing user engagement and video completion rates.

Developing the brand identity was equally crucial. Inspired by the simplicity of touch, the curved line symbolizes ease, simplicity, and creativity. This metaphor of leaving marks—like drawings on misted windows or beach sand—highlights that anything can be an artboard. With human interaction as a core value, this foundation supported our overall growth and success.

Outcome

Our long-term partnership and efforts to improve the user experience led Rizzle to significant success. The app grew to over 8 million creators and 34 million monthly active users. It hosted more than 40 million channels in 25 genres and enabled the creation of over 200 million videos. Although the product has since evolved, these achievements highlight the impact of our collaboration and innovative solutions.
